Important Information Regarding NCTS 6 in Serbia

The Serbian customs authorities have announced that the implementation of NCTS 6 in Serbia will begin on 28 May 2026 at 21:00 CET.

The implementation is expected to take 5 to 6 hours, during which time the NCTS system will be unavailable.

At some point during the morning of 29 May 2026, NCTS Phase 6 will be activated in Serbia.

To help users manage the new ICS 2 requirements across multiple countries, TransitNet has activated the “Wait” scenario in Serbia, enabling users to submit transit declarations with security code “0” or “2”.
When ICS 2 is selected as an additional service in TransitNet and the “Wait” scenario is activated, TransitNet will automatically add the ICS 2 MRN to the transit declaration and submit the declaration to the customs system once the ICS 2 MRN has been received.
SGS recommends that customers ensure the ICS 2 MRN has been added to transit declarations originating from Serbia, particularly for transit movements through Croatia or Bulgaria.
This can be done easily and efficiently by using the “Wait” scenario in TransitNet.
