TransitNet Platform
TransitNet is a secure, multilingual internet platform in which transit documents are created, checked, and monitored in order to significantly reduce your transit times. TransitNet allows the transport and logistics industry to electronically submit transit declarations to customs, along with a financial guarantee that covers liability for tax obligations.
Customs Guarantees and Software
TransitNet clients do not need to own their own customs guarantees; which can be extremely expensive to maintain. All transit declarations created via TransitNet are submitted using SGS’s own customs guarantees in accordance with Customs Territory Regulation. This removes any additional financial burden on companies who use our service. Also, did you know that the guarantee needed for each shipment can be up to and in excess of 28% of the total value of the goods being transported?
Multinational Coverage
SGS TransitNet not only enables you to perform Transit and Export Declarations from UK. Clients can also submit Transit Declarations from 23 other NCTS countries which covers return journeys via the UK to Ireland/EU. TransitNet also allows users to submit complete customs documents for trucks travelling from UK to 40 destinations including Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova.
