Switzerland to end NCTS 4 on the 30th April 2024

Switzerland have been operating in their new customs system named Passar since last year. Passar incorporates a new Export and Import system whilst also containing the new NCTS 5 version.

On the 30th April 2024, the old version of NCTS 4 will be stopped. From May 1st transit declarations must be submitted via the new Passar system.

SGS will be ready to submit declarations to Passar on May 1st.

Please note that for e-clients who use TransitNet to submit declarations from Switzerland, the possibility to create and submit declarations in TransitNet from Switzerland will be unavailable for a period of time while we complete the transition to Passar.

Please also note that the new version of NCTS in Switzerland will no longer include the option to submit a Swiss Export declaration and a T1 transit declaration (known as “CHEXP” in TransitNet) as one declaration.
