New RoRo service to be launched between Romania and Turkey – important information for TransitNet clients
Sea Lines ferry company have announced a new RoRo route between Constanta in Romania and Karasu in Turkey. The new route will operate a rolling schedule with 3-4 departures per week from each port. See www.sealines.com for more details.
For clients of SGS TransitNet using this route it is important to note that a transit declaration will be mandatory and the below information is important to note to ensure a smooth crossing;
1 .A separate ENS declaration is not required if there is a transit declaration with safety and security data.
2. The transit declaration should be issued from loading point to discharging point. (Example: Bursa – Bucharest) – Transit declarations cannot be opened or closed at Constanta port (ROCT1900)
3. Customs border crossing point in Romania must be ROCT1900
4. Customs border crossing point in Turkiye must be TR410700
5. For fast clearance Sea Lines request that goods documents are uploaded to Sea Lines Document Portal before arriving to the port.
All Sea Lines registered customers can get an account for the portal.
In case customers don’t have an account they can share documents by email to the departure port:

The invoice and packing list should contain the description of the goods in English.
