France – NCTS outage (October 25th to 28th)

 

As part of French customs transition to NCTS 5, there will be a planned downtime of the current transit system (Delta-T) to facilitate the transition to NCTS 5.

 

The NCTS system in France will be unavailable between Friday 25th of October 18 :00 CET to Monday 28th of October 10:00 CET

 

This means it will not be possible to submit new transit declarations during this time.

 

Transits from the UK

 

Transit from the UK will still continue as normal but all trucks entering France will need to report to customs authorities to complete office of transit procedures. Possible delays are expected.

 

SGS to start in NCTS 5 in November

 

Though France will start in NCTS 5 on October 28^th, transit operators such as SGS can choose to join NCTS 5 in France at an agreed time with French customs. SGS’s planned date will be in November and will be announced in advance to all of our clients.

 

Until then, operations in France will continue as normal.
