DFDS integration extended. Now covering routes via France requiring ICS 2
The integration between DFDS and SGS has been extended to cover vessels arriving in France.
From the 8th December, companies using DFDS service between Türkiye and France will be required to provide ICS 2 data.
The first vessel which will require ICS 2 data is the 8th December Yalova – Sete sailing (Monday morning – 10:00 A.M. TR time)
SGS TransitNet is ready to submit the necessary data to DFDS and ICS 2 to cover these requirements.
Accompanied units
For accompanied units, the responsibility to lodge the ICS 2 is on the side of the transport company.
In addition to the transit data, a small amount of additional data (departure and arrival time, etc.,) is required for ICS 2 declarations.
For clients of SGS, TransitNet will submit the data required to ICS 2 and forward the ICS 2 MRNs to DFDS.
Unaccompanied units
For French routes, DFDS operates multiple filing for unaccompanied units.
This means that DFDS submit the master data (general description, total gross mass etc.,) but the transporter is responsible for submitting the house data (consignor/consignee, item information, etc.,)
For clients of SGS, TransitNet will submit the data required for master level to DFDS and at the same time TransitNet will submit the house data to ICS 2 to complete the requirements.
Clients using DFDS service should make sure to have their booking created and booking ID number available to complete this service.
