From March 1, 2023, new processes for the entry and temporary storage of air cargo will be introduced. Are you importing goods by air to the EU? Please note that from the above-mentioned date some changes will be made to the current processes.
New process for bringing in goods
From March 1, 2023, you must submit your entry declaration in accordance with Import Control System 2 (ICS2). This automated process will apply to any member of the EU.
From that moment on, you use the Shared Trader Interface (STI) for the Arrival Notification (NA) and the Entry Summary Declaration (ENS). New system specifications are available for both declarations.
You can find more information about ICS2 and the new process for the entry of air cargo from 1 March 2023 on the website of the European Commission.
New process for temporary airfreight storage
You will continue to use the existing Trade and Transport Gateway (HTG) for your Temporary Storage Declaration (ATO). From March 1, 2023, you will do this according to new system specifications. The new specifications will be available soon.
You can find more information about the new process for the temporary storage of air cargo from 1 March 2023 on the website of the European Commission
