Belgium to start in NCTS 5 on 21st January 2025
Belgium will start in NCTS 5 on the 21st January 2025.
NCTS 4 will be deactivated at 01:00 CET on the 21st January 2025.
NCTS 5 will be activated at some time between 01:00 CET and 06:00 CET – the exact time still needs to be confirmed by customs.
This means that any declarations submitted before 01:00 CET on the 21st January 2025 in NCTS 4 format and not released before 01:00 CET will need to be created and resubmitted in NCTS 5 format once the customs confirms the system is operational again.
Belgium will start immediately in post transition period setup so previous transition rules which were valid in other countries, for example restricting number of consignors per transit declaration, will not be valid.
