TransitNet is ready!

Despite the doubts around the September 1st deadline for mandatory ICS 2 declarations, TransitNet will be ready to submit ICS 2 declarations in any country where it is required.

Clients of SGS TransitNet will be able to submit ICS 2 declarations as a standalone declaration or as part of a transit declaration.

The process to create and submit an ICS 2 declaration as part of a transit declaration has been streamlined to reuse the transit data to complete the majority of ICS 2 data. There are some additional data requirements which clients will need to complete.

Once a transit declaration meets the conditions which indicates it also requires an ICS 2 declaration, the ICS 2 service will be visible at Header level as an extra service (in this case the ICS 2 declaration is required in Bulgaria);

Clients can choose to activate the extra service by clicking the toggle to the right. Once the toggle is on, the following screen will appear. First steps are to indicate whether the unit is unaccompanied and what will be the mode of transport at the EU entry border (road, rail or sea);

Depending on the user’s choice, the required fields will be added and the user should complete all required fields and press done;

At submission of the transit, the ICS 2 declaration will also be submitted, and successful submission will return an ICS 2 MRN (in TransitNet and by no reply email).

Further extensive guidelines on the use of ICS 2 in TransitNet will be published shortly.
