ICS 2 – Next group of countries to require mandatory ICS 2 declarations
The rollout of phase 3 of ICS 2 (road/rail) continues.
Many countries applied for a derogation from the original September 1st deadline, however several countries required mandatory ICS 2 from September 1st 2025.
From January 1st 2026, a number of new countries will require mandatory ICS 2 declarations for road and rail movements, including;
– Hungary
– France
– Ireland
– Greece
– Spain
– Finland
– Italy
– Lithuania
SGS TransitNet offers a full ICS 2 service including;
– ICS 2 as part of a transit where TransitNet reuses the data of the transit declaration to create the ICS 2 declarations.
– ICS 2 standalone service where users can create ICS 2 declarations separate to transit declarations.
