Important Update on Transit Movements Through Hungary
As of January 1, 2026, all transit movements across Hungary (i.e. when the final destination is outside Hungary) must be carried out exclusively via roads approved for transit traffic.
Approved transit routes are available on the official Útinform map: Útinform – Hiteles közúti közlekedési információk
Please note that in case of deviation from the approved transit routes, roadside inspections may result in an on-the-spot traffic fine of EUR 250.
We recommend planning all transit movements using the approved routes.
