Slovakia to start in NCTS 6 on 29^th March 2026

 

Slovakian customs have announced that they will launch NCTS 6 functionality on the 29th March 2026.

 

At the same time, ICS 2 declarations for road and rail movements will become mandatory.

With the launch of NCTS 6 functionality, it means that clients of TransitNet should continue to submit as normal their transit declarations but also choose ICS 2 service.

The MRN of the ICS 2 declaration should be included in the transit declaration as a previous document, document code N355.

TransitNet has implemented a functionality that allows clients to submit both the transit declaration and ICS 2 at the same time – and once the ICS 2 MRN is received, TransitNet will automatically add the ICS 2 MRN to the message submitted to customs.

Known as the “wait” scenario, this functionality is available for selection at the time of submission – when TransitNet users choose to wait, the system will wait for the ICS 2 MRN to be received before automatically submitting the transit declaration to customs and including the ICS 2 MRN as previous document
