UK (GB & XI) to transition to NCTS 5

 

HMRC have announced their timeline for migrating their NCTS systems to NCTS 5 version. The migration will take place on two separate dates;

 

• • Northern Ireland (XI) – From 10:00 am CET on the 28th June 2024 it will not be possible to submit declarations to NCTS 4 and the system will be down for around 7 hours. At approximately 16:00 – 17:00 CET, NCTS 5 will be activated in Northern Ireland and it will be possible to submit declarations in the new NCTS 5 format.

 

• • Great Britain (GB) – From 7:00 am CET on Monday 1st July it will not be possible to submit declarations to NCTS 4 and the system will be down for around 7 hours. At approximately 14:00 CET, NCTS 5 will be activated in Great Britain and it will be possible to submit declarations in the new NCTS 5 format.
