Session 5: Customs Special Procedures

The objective of this session is to introduce customs special procedures, allowing attendees to determine the merits of each, and ultimately inform a cost benefit analysis of whether a measure is viable for their trading behavior. While some measures may rise or diminish in value depending on the terms of the UK’s departure from the EU, delegates will gain a working understanding of tools of increasing value, including inward processing, customs warehousing and more.

From January 2021, the UK will effectively become what is known as in customs terms, a ‘third country’. As a result, any goods UK to EU and vice versa will require Customs Declarations.
